3-Month Contract Position, XEBEC Inc.​

Reports to:     Director, Human Resources

Purpose:         Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this position will provide a diverse range of Human Resource support to our employees and the senior management team.​

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

§  The HR Generalist:

          o Will be responsible for assisting in the selection, development and retention of employees throughout the organization
          o Assists with the development and execution of Human Resources policies and procedures
          o Participates in developing and executing a strategic HR plan to retain and attract talented employees in a commercially oriented environment
          o Manages efficient and effective HR practices including: compensation planning, recruitment and selection, employee engagement, development and learning, and effective internal communications
          o Maintains up-to-date knowledge on Federal and Provincial legislation
          o Provides employee relations support to managers and members of the Xebec team
          o Is responsible for participation in external compensation surveys and ensuring internal job descriptions are up-to-date
          o Assists with internal communication programs to ensure a well informed team
          o Is responsible for creating a social committee and assisting with creating an engaged environment
          o Acts as the Administrator for “Success Factors” Performance Management System and can access reports as required
          o Is responsible for developing and maintaining all personnel records
          o Adheres to all safety guidelines, policies and procedures
          o Performs other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

§  Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management

§  CHRP designation is an asset

§  3-4 years of related experience and a demonstrated ability to multi task on a diversity of projects

 

SKILLS:

§  In depth knowledge of Quebec employment law

§  Able to multi-task and manage heavy workload

§  Must be bilingual (French & English) written and verbal skills

§  Excellent verbal, written communication skills and customer oriented

§  Must be capable of decision making within defined role and display strong initiative

§  Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to interact with all levels of employees

§  Excellent  knowledge of Microsoft products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

§  Knowledge and experience working with a HRIS (Human Resource Information System)

§  Confidentiality, diplomacy and tact

§  Must be willing to travel
